Historic causes and context of the present position of the Roman Catholic Church in the Czech society

(in English) This thesis is focused on historic causes and context of contemporary position of the Roman Catholic Church in the Czech society. To chosen problematics I approach through a concept of spirituality which enables us to have a preview on other phenomena and processes that disrupted catholic religiosity. My thesis starts in the Enlightenment which has had a quite underlying ideological influence on the position churches all over the Europe, while I complemented this chapter by secularization aspects of Judeo-Christian tradition. The next chapter dedicating to 19. century is primarily focused on modernization processes (especially Czech nationalism) which could replace or suppressed traditional religiosity. The short 20. century is devided on formation of relationship between state, church and society (The First Republic and communist period) and simoustaneously in framework of this part it is introduced postmodern transformation of religion whose ,,offshoots" characterise present Czech spirituality. NEW UPDATED MODEL APPROACH TO Self-financing churches and religious societies in the Czech Republic

The main objective of the thesis is to create a new model of financing church and religious society. We examined some available models that are used in states of European Union and described their benefits and disadvantages. Based on the empirical survey and statistical and others analyses we compiled an original concept of financing of churches and religious companies. We solved main practical problems that had been found more suitable economical model of self-financing and optimal relation among state and churches. The thesis brings the new concept of self-financing churches that takes of advantages for both sides (state and churches). Though it´s this thesis only a probe into mentioned problems, I hope that upgrade current knowledge about economy and financing churches and reopening space for others discussion and spring a way to new research in this specific environment non-profit sector.

Financování církví a náboženských společností: diskuse modelu financování pro Českou republiku

Diplomová práce se na pozadí vztahu mezi státem a církvemi věnuje problematice financování církví a náboženských společností v České republice. Teoretická část pojednává o historii vztahu státu a církve i typologii jejich soužití a představuje silné a slabé stránky šesti základních modelů financování. V analytické části jsou osvětleny majetkoprávní vztahy státu a církví v běhu českých dějin a v souvislosti s tím jsou uvedeny současné zdroje financování církví a náboženských společností v ČR a pro srovnání také ve čtyřech evropských zemích. Závěrečná část shrnuje dosažené výstupy a nabízí možná východiska pro optimální formování budoucího způsobu financování českých církví a náboženských společností.
